Information you choose to provide
Your profile may include a handle, display name, vehicle details and a selected profile photo. CruiserFM stores the public profile details and photo needed to show you to accepted friends and relevant participants. Route drafts, preferences and Safe Area definitions are stored on your device, while the service processes friend connections, messages, cruise details, reports and blocks when you use those features.
Location information
When nearby radio, Friends Radio or an active cruise needs location, the app sends coordinates required to apply distance rules, route radio and coordinate the session. In Friends mode, a current position is returned only to accepted friends when location sharing is enabled. Inside a Safe Area, the service may still receive the position needed to operate radio, but it is not returned as a friend-map location; radio remains available. Safe Area definitions stay on your device.
Radio audio
Push-to-talk audio is relayed live to eligible nearby participants, cruise members or accepted friends while you transmit. CruiserFM does not use radio audio for advertising profiles and does not intentionally record it as part of the radio service.
Purchase information
The app sends App Store signed transaction information to confirm subscriptions. Full payment card details remain with Apple. Successful entitlement results may be cached for a short period to provide responsive access.
TikTok advertising measurement
In app versions that include TikTok measurement, CruiserFM uses the TikTok App Events SDK to understand whether its advertising leads to installs, app launches and return visits. TikTok receives these app events together with device identifiers, app and device information, IP address and technical diagnostic information. Where you allow tracking, this can include the device’s advertising identifier, and TikTok may link the information with activity from other companies’ apps and websites to measure and improve CruiserFM advertising.
Your tracking choice
CruiserFM requests Apple’s App Tracking Transparency permission after onboarding. You can allow tracking or choose Ask App Not to Track; declining does not prevent you from using CruiserFM. Without permission, iOS does not provide the device’s advertising identifier. Limited app-event and technical reporting, and Apple’s privacy-preserving install measurement, may still operate without that identifier. You can change the permission in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your iPhone. Accepting this policy or the terms does not grant tracking permission.
What is excluded from TikTok measurement
CruiserFM’s current TikTok integration does not send profile names, handles, profile photos, friend lists, messages, cruise routes, precise GPS locations, voice audio or subscription purchase events. Automatic purchase reporting and enhanced page and button reporting are disabled. Location and audio used to operate radio and cruises are handled separately as described above.
Service providers
Cloudflare provides network, compute and storage services. Apple provides subscriptions, purchase records and privacy-preserving advertising attribution. Map and route providers process the locations and route points needed to display a map or calculate a drive. TikTok provides the advertising measurement described above; its handling of information is also described in the TikTok Privacy Policy.
Retention and control
Live radio presence expires after a session ends, and subscription cache entries expire automatically. A hosted profile photo remains until it is replaced, removed or the account is deleted. On-device information remains until you change it, clear it or remove the app. Account deletion removes the associated server-side account data that CruiserFM controls, subject to any limited retention required for security, disputes or law.
Operational information
The service may process device or account identifiers, request metadata and limited diagnostic information to authenticate requests, prevent abuse, investigate reports and keep CruiserFM reliable. Advertising measurement and your tracking choice are described separately above.
Security
Access tokens are signed and short-lived. Purchase credentials and radio tickets are not intended for public sharing. No method of transmission can be guaranteed against every risk.
Children
CruiserFM is not directed to children under 13. Local age requirements may be higher.
